Introduction to Tech Vets Canada and its Mission
Tech Vets Canada is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting veterans in their retraining and upskilling journey into cyber related employment. Our mission is to raise funds to help Canadian veterans upskill/retrain within a cyber field, find mentors and internships, and secure meaningful employment within their chosen field and also as they transition into a civilian career.
In order to achieve its objectives, Tech Vets Canada will carry out the following activities:
- Solicit donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other sources that support our
mission
- Administer scholarships and bursaries to qualified veterans who apply for our programs
- Organize workshops, webinars, and events that provide information and guidance on various
aspects of the cyber field
- Partner with educational institutions, industry associations, and employers that offer relevant
courses, certifications, and opportunities for veterans
